Margit Memminger
Margit Memminger experiments in her art with a wide variety of media, such as photography, music, video, painting, drawings, etc. Painting plays the largest part. In the hermeneutic creative process, she tries not to submit to any rules. She uses different materials, mixes her own paints, pours them onto the canvas, scratches and draws in, destroys layers, and finally paints over everything again. Monochrome surfaces are thus broken up by gestural lines. Fragmented layers of innumerable realities seem to be hidden behind it, which dissolve our reference system into objects that can be named and allow us to immerse ourselves in quiet, strange universes.
